Following our most sucessful year ever, we invite all, both first timer and regular to join us for our first event for 2020, a traditional Sprint day at our home track, Lakeside.
Our days are designed for both experienced and first time novice.
To those tentative first timers, we DO NOT do racing in the club, we are NOT banging door handles. We have strict rules on overtaking and minimum separation, to ensure our days are as safe as possible. The days are about driving at a pace YOU are confident with, not trying to break the lap record your first time out.
We have an excellent mentoring program, where one of our experienced drivers conducts a track walk before every sprint day, showing the correct way to approach the various aspects of driving the track. A must for all newer drivers and those wanting to improve their lap times.
Entry is still just $195 for members for a full day of track fun, clearly the best value for money track fun in the country.
BREKKY RUN TO

Our annual pilgrimage up the range is taking place once again. Join us for a morning coffee at Puma Ipswich at 5:45am. We will depart at 6:15 am directly along the Warrego Highway to the old Toowoomba Airport for this fantastic day.
Once we arrive our club will have a designated display area to park up in with access to view all the other vehicles, work horses, military vehicles and vintage aircraft throughout the day. This will be our first social display event of 2019 with several more to follow. The David Hack Classic is always a member favourite.
The David Hack Classic is an annual event where warbirds and classic vehicles gather for a day. It is a fundraiser for the Leukaemia Foundation, Blue Care and other charities. It is organised by the Rotary Club of Toowoomba North. It has run annually since 1999.
The mix of aircraft and many different types of classic and military vehicles makes for a unique atmosphere for enthusiasts and the public. There are trophies for 20 categories, entertainment and food for the whole family.
Who was David Hack? David hack – 1970 – 1998 – a young man with a passion for photography and classic cars. A member of the Toowoomba South Rotaract club and award winning photographer and freelance contributor to national magazines. Diagnosed with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1996, David underwent aggressive cancer treatment of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. During his final weeks David planned a big birthday bash for his 28th birthday at the Toowoomba Aerotec hangar with family and friends against a backdrop of classic and exotic cars and historic war planes. Unfortunately David passed away two days before the event. John Freeman, long serving member of the Rotary Club of Toowoomba North, felt that the concept of the day should not be forgotten. The inaugural David Hack classic meet was held in 1999. The public choice trophy is presented each year in David’s memory by his mother, Anna.
