A Special Event .. Darling Downs Australia Day Celebration
Due to a last minute change of plans for Australia Day, we now invite you to join us for a drive up to the Southern Darling Downs to the historic Bull & Barley Hotel in Cambooya. The local community are celebrating the day with a BBQ, entertainment and events for the whole family.
We have been invited to share their day with them, whilst also enjoying a great drive into the country..
The Bull & Barley Inn is located in the heart of Cambooya, a quaint country town nestled on the city outskirts south of Toowoomba, just off the New England Highway. Cambooya was home to the famous author “Steele Rudd” (real name Arthur Hoey Davis). Rudd’s literacy works featured the great Australian characters, Dad ‘n’ Dave.
Enjoy good old fashioned style hospitality at the Bull & Barley Inn. Choose from a variety of wines and wide selection of beers on tap or grab a cold drink from the original cedar chiller box. Experience the authentic 1900’s old world atmosphere, with displays of interesting historic photographs.
The Bull & Barley Inn has been restored to its former grandeur. Comfortable accommodation is available. Sit back on the open veranda and enjoy the spectacular views across the Darling Downs.
